Below is a full list of the most common questions and concerns renters have when considering a day on a jet ski.
No! We issue temporary licenses and go over all safety protocols before you begin your day on the water. If you have a boaters license, do bring it with, but if you don't it's no worries at all.
No, insurances do not cover dents, scratches or any other kind of damage from accidents or misuse. We require a $1500 damage deposit per unit rented, and if there is damage at the end of the rental period, the renter is liable for the costs. We always do a thorough walk around with renters prior to launching machines, including taking photos, to document any existing damages.
No, Kelowna Sea-Doo Rentals enforces a 'zero tolerance' for drugs or alcohol while operating our rentals. Please save those activities for after you've returned your jet ski rental.
No. Just because it is legal to smoke, it remains illegal to operate a motorized vehicle while under the influence. Like alcohol, we are 'zero tolerance' and will enforce accordingly.
We make this super easy, as we only offer full day rentals. You decide when you'd like to launch, and after you've had enough, just give us a call and we'll come pick them up. This could mean you only want to ride for a few hours, or maybe you want to ride 8-12 hours, it's completely up to you!
Yes! Children aged 10 and up can ride with an adult. If you would like to bring a child with you on your rental, please specify in the booking and we'll make sure we have an appropriate life jacket for them.
You sure can! We believe everyone should have the opportunity to have some fun on the water. On top of the safety orientation at the beginning of the rental, we also go over all the controls and functions to make sure the renter feels comfortable before heading out for the day.
Absolutely! We have a range of sizes for both males, females and children. If special sizes are required, please specify on the booking page and we'll make sure we have that size available for your booked day.
No, unfortunately they must stay in the water. Debris is easily sucked into the empeller, causing damage. If you would like to spend some time on the beach during your rental period, we have anchors available on all of our jet skis which we will explain how to use before you start your day.
No, fuel is extra and if the tank isn't full upon return, the total will be charged to the credit card on file and a $25 refuelling fee will be applied.
Not at all. The jet ski experience is whatever you'd like to make it. Unless intentially trying, falling off the jet ski is quite difficult. We also provide the highest quality personal floatation devices (life jackets) in case you do end up in the water. Each jet ski is equiped with a boarding step on the back as well, to make re-mounting it easier.
At the moment we do not have any water toys available for rent. If you're looking for tubes we can possible help source some. Bluetooth speakers are available for an extra charge.
Renters must be at least 19 years old, and have a valid drivers license.
Yes it is! We offer further discounts on multiday rentals. Because each scenario is different, the best way to secure a longer rental period is to give us a call.
That depends. Only people who have filled out all the required paperwork are eligible to drive the jet skis.
Yes! We advise that renters should be at their desired launch location 30 minutes before they would like to start on the water. This gives us time to make sure all paper work is completed, do a damage walk around, and to give safety and how-to instructions.
Any cancellations made by the guest outside of two weeks of the reservation date will result in a full refund. Cancellations made by the guest between two weeks and 48 hours of the reservation date will result in 50% of rental fee being charged to your credit card.
If a reservation is cancelled by the guest with less then 48 hours notice, or if the guest 'no-shows' their rental period, the full rental fee will be charged.
Date changes are subject to availability, and must be made at least a week in advance.
No, only major credit cards are accepted for both payment and damage deposits.
We hold $1500/unit as a damage deposit. Once you return the rental damage free, the entire amount will be refunded to you. **Please note, it may take some time for the refund to show on your credit card statement**
